E-voting in Santa Clara County, 2004 -- CS74N project
Ever wonder how a real election works? Students in the Stanford
freshman seminar CS74N: Digital Dilemmas, Fall 2004, documented
pre-election testing and polling place operations in Santa Clara
County, which used the Sequoia AVC Edge touch-screen voting machines.
Here is a description, with photos, of our
visit to the Santa Clara County
Elections office warehouse before election day, where we saw
the pre-election "Logic and Accuracy tests" of some of the
machines.
Here is a description, also with photos, of
setup of the machines and
polling place operations on election day.
